James O'Brien, CFP®

James wanted to start a financial services business different from the industry standard — a firm where the needs of the client surpassed the needs of the firm. A firm where clients could expect personal service, unbiased advice and custom solutions. That firm is Gill Capital Partners.

James has been serving clients in the financial services industry since 1986. James brings a wide range of experience to his client relationships including fixed income, equity trading, insurance, risk management, comprehensive financial planning, and portfolio design and allocation strategies. Prior to joining Gill Capital Partners, James worked for Fortune 500 companies New York Life Insurance and Charles Schwab & Co. Inc.

When retirement comes, James is hopeful to have saved enough to spend it sailing around the world.

John Winslow
Managing Partner

John delivers financial solutions by objectively educating clients of all their options. He knows that investing is personal — and if you don't believe him, just ask his kids. And John's commitment is to sit on the same side of the table as clients and demystify investing — whether it's collaborating with individuals or finance directors.

John oversees the institutional fixed income business for Gill Capital Partners, for banks and public entities. With more than 15 years working in financial services and banking, John has comprehensive fixed income, trading, portfolio design and money management experience.

John's piggy bank is promised to his kids, Jack and Molly, for college, though he's setting some aside for retirement and a family foundation.

Darin Snow, CIMA®
Partner

With over 18 years of investment experience, Darin loves establishing one-on-one relationships with clients and helping them achieve their financial goals. Before joining Gill Capital Partners, Darin was with the Denver offices of BKD Wealth Advisors and Morgan Stanley. When a client calls, Darin calls back — promptly. Working with clients means forging long-term relationships and meeting regularly because service is king. Darin practices the lost art of listening and always treats the client as the most valuable asset.

Darin is saving for his kids' college education and retirement — both of which he really wants to boost.

Tom Cladis
Vice President, Institutional Services

Tom believes that clients are not a means to the end — they are the end. And because of that, Tom goes extra mile after extra mile to ensure that Gill Capital Partners delivers. With more than 25 years in the financial services industry, Tom's expertise and dedication have awarded him an outstanding reputation amongst Colorado banks and public entities.

Harold, who has held his CPA designation for more than 20 years, offers timely and professional service by staying current on tax law changes. With a CPA as part of the Gill Capital Partners team, all aspects of client financials are managed under one roof. In addition to working with the individual investor, Harold works with small business owners, assisting with their accounting, financial statement reconciliation, tax planning and preparation needs.

Harold, like the clients he works with, has saving for retirement and college at the forefront of his thoughts.

Leslie strives to make clients active participants in their financial future through education, and by outlining clear steps to growth. Building her career as an operations and compliance manager, as well as a quality consultant and insurance specialist for financial institutions, Leslie is able to deliver The Capital Difference through the firm's all-inclusive service offering, EncompassSM.
